FLOOD WARNING APRIL 17

From Ramesh Kanapareddy, Public Works Director:

North Branch Chicago River communities possibility of localized
flooding is imminent. The concern on our end is the ground is more than 50% saturated and with the heavy rains predicted over next two days likelihood of street and yard flooding is potentially high. Over the past week Public Works crews have hit the “hot spots” (areas prone to street flooding) to keep ahead and are continuing to clean the clogged street inlets.

Also, two Public Works personnel are scheduled to remain till 11pm
tonight and if the situation mandates we plan to have two more personnel work the overnight shift to cover for any emergencies or resident calls.

During regular business hours please call 847-432-0807 for assistance. For assistance after business hours, call the police non-emergency line 847-432-7730.
